Tara Tarini Peeth is situated on the top of a small Taratarini hill near
Purusottampur of Ganjam District. It is around 30 kms from Berhampur. The Twin
Goddesses Tara and Tarini are worshiped as manifestations of Adi Shakti.
Everyday devotees from different parts of Odisha come here.
River Rushikulya flows at the foot of the hill. From the hill top down to the bank of river Rushikulya and farms look very beautiful. The hills height is approximately 708ft. and the total area spreading over 180 Acres of land. The hill is popularly known as Taratarini Hill. There are 999 steps on the front side of the hill leading to the temple and also a road for vehicle on the backside of the hill facilitating devotees to reach at the Pitha. Best time to Visit: October to April
